Position Specific Description

The leader in this role oversees enterprise-wide facilities operations, ensuring safe, reliable, efficient, and well-maintained building environments. This position is responsible for the daily oversight of building operations, vendor and contract compliance, facility standards, issue resolution, and operational support across assigned locations. The role requires strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical and mechanical systems, plumbing, janitorial services, landscaping, building management systems, and data center/critical systems infrastructure.

 

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversees daily facilities operations and ensures buildings, equipment, systems, and services are operating safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards.
  • Manages facility management vendors, service providers, and contractors to ensure quality performance, contract compliance, timely completion of work, and cost-effective service delivery.
  • Provides oversight of building operations, including HVAC, plumbing, basic electrical and mechanical systems, janitorial services, landscaping, and general facility maintenance.
  • Supports facilities associated with data centers or critical systems infrastructure environments, ensuring appropriate coordination, reliability, access, cleanliness, and operational readiness.
  • Monitors and utilizes building management systems to identify, escalate, and resolve operational issues related to building performance, comfort, alarms, and equipment status.
  • Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex facilities issues to root cause
  • Emergency management planning and execution, including storm response support, incident coordination, and outage management.
  • Conducts analysis in the areas of cost, schedules, risk, exposure, service quality, and problem resolution.
  • Researches, responds to, and resolves customer concerns and facility-related issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Develops, communicates, and supports corporate facility management standards, procedures, and operating practices.
  • Partners with internal business units, supply chain, safety, security, real estate, engineering, and external vendors to support proper facility operations.
  • Coordinates planned maintenance, repairs, inspections, service interruptions, and vendor work to minimize disruption to business operations.
  • Supports construction, renovation, relocation, and capital improvement projects as needed; construction experience is preferred.

 

Highly Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in building operations, facilities management, or property operations
  • Experience with HVAC, data centers, electrical and mechanical systems, plumbing, janitorial services, landscaping, and building management systems
  • Construction, renovation, or project coordination experience
  • Experience managing vendors, service contracts, budgets, schedules, and facility-related customer concerns

  • Oversees daily operations of contract compliance for enterprise wide facility management operations
  • Conducts analysis in the areas of cost and schedules, risk and exposure and problem resolution
  • Ensures delivery of confidential and sensitive mail
  • Researches and resolves applicable customer concerns and issues
  • Develops and communicates facility management and mail operations corporate standards
  • Partners with supply chain, the U.S Postal Service and other delivery organizations to ensure proper operations
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High School Grad / GED
  • Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
  • Experience:  8+ years
  • Supervisory/Management Experience: 0+ years
