Position Specific Description

To support this exciting business growth opportunity, we are looking for an experienced Manager, Sustainability Marketing with a strong background in business-to-business (B2B) marketing and a proven track record of assisting business development and sales organizations deliver on revenue goals.
 
As a Manager, Sustainability Marketing for integrated clean energy solutions on NextEra Energy’s Enterprise Marketing Team, you will lead Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) marketing efforts in the commercial and industrial (C&I) sectors. Your role will work closely with product experts from across the enterprise to understand our commercial offerings and develop engaging, insights-driven strategies to build awareness of our products and technology, generate demand, and enable the sales team. As the C&I marketing expert, you will manage critical tasks across all B2B channels, including social media, events, conferences, content marketing, and related digital channels, while ensuring deliverables are on time and budget. The ideal candidate will be able to assist with customer prioritization analysis, market research, and distill a product’s value proposition into compelling sales enablement materials and collateral, such as pitch decks, one-pagers, and brochures that will win over customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own, build and implement the overall ESG marketing strategy to further extend NextEra Energy’s reach into the C&I market
  • Develop event and conference strategy, including the planning of NextEra Energy Sustainability Summit and identifying, evaluating and executing sponsorship, speaking, and brand activation opportunities
  • Build effective marketing collateral (e.g., webinars, blogs, case studies, web content) and sales enablement assets (e.g., pitch decks, one-pagers, sell sheets, playbooks) to support sales efforts
  • Work on demand generation activities, including campaigns and programs to drive leads and revenue
  • Assist with customer profiling, prioritization, and market insights using sales intelligence tools and technology (e.g., ZoomInfo)
  • Partner with SMEs and product experts from across the business to develop content marketing strategy targeting specific industry verticals and account-based marketing opportunities
  • Build and maintain strong interdepartmental relationships within NextEra Energy’s key product and client relationship groups

 

Ideal Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience with a proven track record as a B2B Marketer – enterprise, SAAS, technology experience a plus
  • Experience developing full-funnel B2B marketing strategies and tactics
  • Strong project management abilities to plan and execute cross-functional initiatives
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Up to date on the latest trends and technologies in B2B marketing, including sales intelligence, marketing automation, engagement software, and workflow tools
  • Analytical skills and a demonstrated ability to manage budgets
  • A self-starter with tenacity for execution and delivery
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Builds strong and effective client relationships through exemplary service and frequent and transparent communications

  • Manages the development, implementation and measurement of ROI-based communication and marketing plans
  • Uses market research and other analytics to develop recommendations for clients on how to improve customer satisfaction
  • Develops, improves, standardizes and manages work processes to ensure consistent performance that meets client expectations, including cross-functional collaboration
  • Ensures disciplined budget management
  • Leads client, project and management meetings with department heads and management peers inside and outside the business unit
  • Leads cross-functional teams, both peer-level and subordinate
  • Demonstrates ability to build and lead high-performing teams as well as coach individuals to develop to their fullest potential
  • Demonstrates the ability to develop as well as follow critical business processes to ensure quality and timely execution of initiatives
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
