Position Specific Description

NextEra Energy Resources Clean Energy Solutions team is seeking a highly motivated individual with a background in the Transportation, Logistics & Retail industries, and who has a passion for sustainability and decarbonization. The ideal candidate will have strong Project Management experience along with a background in at least one of the following disciplines: renewable energy, energy efficiency & optimization, mobility solutions, low-carbon fuels, or distributed generation.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and manage relationships both on the Clean Energy Solutions team and with different product teams and business units across the company
  • Lead and coordinate integrated decarbonization solutions with different subject matter experts across the company to further sales engagements, as well as communicate knowledge learned with the wider team to streamline future processes
  • Identify gaps regarding product offerings, proposed partnerships, or investments in customer proposals to ensure adherence to current internal commercial guidance
  • Understand financial and contractual implications in proposed product offerings, partnerships, or investments and coordinate due diligence activities to ensure proper structuring of deals

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in the logistics and transportation sector, energy management and optimization, renewable energy, and sustainability
  • Project Management and/or Consulting experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Energy, Business Management, Finance, or similar field
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills with all levels of employees
  • Ability to lead internal meetings with various subject matter expert participants
  • Ability to coordinate requirements to ensure resources are focused on the right project activities
  • Analytical mindset and can review, criticize, and validate external information
  • Excellent process management, organization, prioritization, and problem-solving skills with enthusiasm for process improvement
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and data analysis
  • Flexible and willing to perform other job-related tasks as needed

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA, PMP, or other graduate degree in a related field
  • Financial acumen

  • Contract negotiations experience

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with sales teams to define, design, and detail the technical aspects and feasibility of proposed solutions
  • Support technical discussions and solution design throughout the sales process in order to progress/close deals and build customer relationships
  • Deliver product demonstrations, technical education, and proof of concepts
  • Provide input on proposals and draft scope of work
  • Maintain an understanding of the customer’s industry, including industry trends, industry business processes
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
