Position Specific Description

The Marketing & Communications Strategic Advisor serves as the business unit’s lead strategist and primary integrator for communications, marketing, digital experience, executive messaging, stakeholder engagement and reputation strategy, acting as the liaison between the business unit and the enterprise Marketing & Communications function. This role is accountable for translating business priorities, operational goals and leadership objectives into a cohesive, enterprise-aligned communications and marketing strategy that drives visibility, engagement, trust and measurable business impact across internal and external audiences. As the business unit strategist, this role provides expert counsel to leaders on positioning, messaging, campaign strategy, change communications, thought leadership, digital channel optimization, and brand stewardship, while orchestrating the full M&C response across creative, digital, content, media, public relations, analytics, and technology teams. The role ensures that all communications and marketing initiatives are integrated, proactive, data-informed and aligned with corporate standards, while leveraging emerging technologies, AI-enabled tools, audience insights and performance metrics to personalize experiences, strengthen reputation, improve decision-making and maximize results. This position also plays a critical role in identifying strategic storytelling opportunities, managing complex or sensitive communications, supporting transformation initiatives and ensuring the business unit receives high-quality, timely and effective M&C solutions that advance enterprise objectives and business growth.

Job Overview

The Marketing & Communications (M&C) Strategic Advisor serves as a strategic advisor and liaison between the enterprise Marketing & Communications function and assigned business units or departments. This role ensures alignment between corporate brand strategy, communications objectives, and business priorities—driving engagement, reputation, and business growth through integrated, technology-enabled communication plans and campaigns. The M&C Strategic Advisor will  translate business needs and strategies into deliverables for the M&C team, coordinate the teams’ responses and ensure prompt and quality product (full M&C work product, not just a single focus) to the client. The role leverages digital platforms, data analytics, and emerging technologies—such as AI-driven insights and automation tools—to deliver personalized, measurable, and high-impact communication experiences.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serves as the main Marketing & Communications (M&C) advisor to business unit leaders, offering strategic guidance on communication, branding, and marketing initiatives
  • Builds trusted relationships with media, agencies, influencers, and industry partners to strengthen credibility and reputation
  • Develops and implement integrated M&C plans aligned with enterprise goals, leveraging digital and AI tools for targeted engagement
  • Collaborates with leadership and technology teams to identify proactive communication opportunities that enhance visibility through innovation and storytelling
  • Ensures marketing campaigns, content, and materials consistently reflect brand standards and strategic messaging
  • Uses analytics, automation, and AI-driven insights to measure and optimize campaign performance for greater impact
  • Leads internal and external communications to protect and enhance corporate reputation through media relations, executive messaging, and stakeholder engagement
  • Manages communication during organizational change, including digital transformations and AI adoption, across all internal and external channels
  • Coordinates with creative, digital, IT, and PR teams to deliver cohesive, cross-platform campaigns on time and within budget
  • Tracks and analyze engagement metrics, presenting data-driven insights to leadership while staying ahead of emerging communication and technology trends
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience: 8+ years
