Position Specific Description

The position is responsible for day to day, 24x7x365 operational support for the organization’s Trading Floor which includes supporting Windows OS based computers, applications, and other proprietary equipment in a high-pressure environment.  Efforts will primarily focus on day to day technical support needs but will require participation in other hyper-care support and disaster recovery duties as needed.  


This position will also be responsible for providing assistance for various projects by acting as a liaison between project and engineering teams and is expected to help coordinate, schedule and then perform the activities required to implement those projects.  A high capacity to lead multiple work efforts simultaneously and coordinate across multiple teams is required.


The position is unique, in that it is not only a highly technical position, but also requires a high degree of customer focus and interaction that ultimately generates extraordinary customer satisfaction.  To be successful the candidate will be required to adapt to new plans and priorities to address business and operational challenges.


This is an onsite role, but occasional local travel may be required.


Technical Skills:

  • High degree of familiarity with Windows OS in an Active Directory environment
  • Working knowledge and troubleshooting of Oracle database connectivity.
  • Experience troubleshooting Microsoft Excel functionality including custom macros and add-ins.
  • Familiarity with financial market data applications such as Bloomberg, Refinitiv Eikon, ICE Exchange and Data Service.
  • Experience configuring and deploying Microsoft Windows based laptops and desktop PC’s
  • Experience with application troubleshooting
  • Proficient with Service Now
  • General knowledge of TCP/IP network functionality and equipment
  • 1 year of trading floor support experience

Job Overview

This position is responsible for day-to-day (24 hours per day, seven days per week) operational support for an organization's Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) infrastructure, including data- and voice-related activities. Employees in this role provide technical support for all client devices with a high degree of customer contact and focus, ultimately generating a high degree of customer satisfaction.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

•  Identifies new or trending issues, determines root causes, and quickly resolves the issues

•  Acts as a liaison between project and engineering teams and the ultimate customer

•  Coordinates, schedules, and performs the end-work required to implement projects

•  Provides Technology Café Associate support

•  Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

•  High School Grad / GED

•  Bachelor’s or Equivalent Experience

•  Experience: 3+ years
