Position Specific Description

Looking to make a difference and collaborate in a Salesforce instance that is focused on Salesforce Customer Relationship Management? NextEra Energy Resources is seeking an experienced Salesforce Tech Lead to for Salesforce projects. The Technical Lead will be responsible for Salesforce delivery and educating on best practices for Salesforce development teams (offshore and onshore). This individual will be part of the Information Technology (IT) Department working with our internal and external partners to design and optimize the architecture and performance of the Salesforce platform to meet business needs and deliver value.

Main Responsibilities

  • Serve as the bridge between the Product Owner and the technical developers to transform and develop new requirements into designs, development approaches and implementation
  • Effectively enforce our coding standards/practices with internal/external developers in the team.
  • Analyze business problems and provide technical solutions on the Salesforce platform & connectivity with offline mobile application
  • Design and develop solutions to meet both business and central technology requirements
  • Lead estimation efforts, working with architects to scope and business to prioritize
  • Provide support on issues before, during, and after deployment
  • Balance the needs of both individual product teams and the broader Salesforce program
  • Represent “The Team” in a fast-paced Agile environment
  • Be responsible for 100% code quality and own code reviews for the organization.
  • Partner with architects and external development teams to design custom solutions.
  • Recommend optimizations to improve efficiency and speed to market for existing/new capabilities.
  • Spend portion of your time for innovation and POC’s to bring new technologies to SFDC ecosystem.
  • Lead and own all technical aspects of implementations and/or customizations including data migrations, data quality, systems integrations, 3rd party applications, AppExchange products, and custom development.
  • Provide technical leadership, setting best practices (e.g., integration and application development, deployment, testing, iterative refinement) with both internal/external development teams including Global teams.
  • Identify ways to utilize SFDC to improve business processes and productivity, and make recommendations to support an organization scaling at a rapid pace.
  • Define, communicate, and manage a change management (release) process to develop and implement new applications/code and updates to existing applications/code.
  • CICD/Release Management.
  • Identification of risks and issues from technical perspective.
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and mentoring of new developers for your team.
  • Manage work and prioritization for a cross-functional team, including developers and testers

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 3+ years of experience leading Salesforce development teams
  • 2+ years of analysis experience in large global implementations of
  • Demonstrated experience developing in Salesforce Apex & Lightning Component frameworks
  • Familiar with development workflow tool such as Developer Console, Workbench, VS Code, and Version Control such as GIT
  • History of using code reviews to ensure high-quality solutions
  • Experience with Sales and Service Cloud capabilities to include Lead Management, Opportunity Management, Territory Management, Case Management and Knowledge Management.
  • Proficient with Lightning Experience and Lightning Design Systems
  • Strong foundational Salesforce knowledge including sharing, security, data modeling and declarative workflow development
  • Experience with Salesforce reporting functions including dashboard & report design
  • Proven ability to partnering with business stakeholders in Sales and Service areas
  • Understanding of enterprise integration methodologies and experience integrating with using REST, BULK, and Metadata APIs.
  • Strong and effective written, verbal and presentation skills with the ability to collaborate with team members
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Familiar with Jira and other Atlassian tools for agile lifecycle management
  • Familiar with quality assurance and documentation practices within software development

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experienced with front-end web development frameworks and hands-on development experience with Lightning Aura and Web components.
  • Platform Certifications (Administrator, Developer, Consultant)
  • Expertise with Agile software development methods and processes
  • Expertise on connecting offline mobile application with Salesforce

  • Ensures technology processes are conducted in line with applicable standards and company policies
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

  • Experience: 7+ years
