Position Specific Description
The role of the Supervisor is to lead and oversee the administration and payments for the portfolios under NEER Development, Distributed Generation, Florida Renewables (FPL) and NextEra Energy Transmission (NEET) and the on-boarding of new Mergers and Acquisition projects, along with ensuring compliance for all agreement payments and obligations. The employee in this role is required to guide and support the team in regard to agreements, payments and processes. The employee will own the review and approval of payments during the development stage of the projects, storage and overall knowledge of the land agreements, reporting metrics, and overall accuracy reviews. Job Overview
This job provides technical and administrative supervision to specific accounting areas, such as general, corporate, property, energy marketing, payables, and receivables.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Oversees the preparation of financial reports and maintains the integrity of financial systems
• Develops, analyzes, and interprets accounting information and results
• Provides analytical support of financial statements and general ledger
• Prepares financial statements and related disclosures
• Ensures SEC reporting and SOX compliance and system of internal and accounting controls
• Consolidates multiple company financial statements
• Maintains system of accounts, books and records on transactions and assets
• Coordinates annual audit with independent auditors
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
• High School Grad / GED
• Bachelor's Degree
• Experience: 7+ years
Preferred Qualifications
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• Bachelor's - Accounting / Finance
• Master's Degree
• Supervisor/Management Experience:1+ years
