Are you an ambitious MBA student looking for a transformative summer internship opportunity? Join us at our Juno Beach, Florida headquarters for approximately 10 week assignments in one of several key areas.

Our MBA Summer Intern Position:
As an MBA Summer Intern, you'll dive into a project closely aligned with your chosen area of expertise. Towards the end of the summer, you'll present your findings to senior executives.

Our Requirements:
The successful candidate should excel in identifying commercial opportunities, analyzing economic value, assisting in negotiations, and engaging stakeholders. Essential skills include negotiation, project management, technical proficiency, and communication.
Key Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in first year of full-time MBA program
- 3+ years of professional experience
- Ability to deliver results and collaborate effectively
- Proficiency in oral presentations, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Capacity to work autonomously
- Permanently authorized to work in the U.S.
Job Overview
This job is an approximate 12-week internship. Employees in this role work on strategic pre-assigned projects over the course of a summer. Projects are relevant to a particular aspect of the respective area of the employee's assignment and related to the commercial strategy of the respective business area. Employees in this role complete a formal presentation near the end of summer to a team of NextEra Energy senior executives. Other required activities include team building, training, networking, and community outreach engagements. Eligible candidates must be enrolled full time at a university-based school of business, pursuing an MBA and graduating in a forthcoming academic year. Successful candidates selected for this program will be invited to participate based on their relevant work experience and skills such as: knowledge of corporate finance principles; strong bias for action; ability to work with limited direction/supervision; project management technical capability; and professional communications.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Understand commercial opportunities in tactical areas pertaining to renewable energy strategy
- Analyze and articulate economic value of various business alternatives
- Support the negotiation of deals with regulators and businesses
- Communicate with stakeholders to advance an idea or proposal
- Galvanize support from internal subject matter experts
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
