Position Specific Description

The Executive Director, Regulatory Management will support all NextEra Energy Transmission & NextEra Water regulatory matters; including:
- Responsible for oversight and ownership of all dockets across transmission, water
- Works with Legal, External teams on rate cases, various dockets, pulling together testimony, responding to discovery, preparing witnesses
- Plans ahead for rate cases, coming up with strategy, timing including monitoring in some detail any proceedings of interest
- Single point at NEET for regulatory comments in proceedings where we are not the direct subject (competition, etc)
- Ensures regulatory compliance filings (FERC, state, ISO forms) for businesses are filed
 

Job Overview

Employees in this role directly support management and development through representation of our company’s interests in regulatory bodies, regional transmission, and planning organizations and legislatures and members of the executive branch of state governments in the United States and provinces in Canada.

  • Participates in stakeholder processes, regulatory bodies, and/or regional organizations
  • Lobbies legislatures
  • Formulates company strategies internally for communication in the marketplace
  • Completes long-range strategic planning
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience: 12+ years

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s - Business Administration
  • Juris Doctorate
