Position Specific Description

NextEra Energy is looking for a talented digital marketer and copywriter to lead, concept, and execute compelling digital and social creative. In this role you would help promote a variety of brand, lead generation, ecommerce, and emerging technology initiatives. While this role will largely focus on social media and digital advertising, you will also contribute and collaborate across the broader range of marketing, advertising, and brand-building channels including web and YouTube. The ideal candidate has a strong creative portfolio that demonstrates a deep understanding of social and digital channels.

 

Core Job Responsibilities

  • Lead content development and review process for written and visual content for digital advertising initiatives.
  • Develop engaging content for digital, social, email, web, and advertising initiatives in collaboration with business and agency partners.
  • Serve as point person for digital content and copy strategy, planning and execution.
  • As a digital and social media subject matter expert, educate various internal departments on the constantly evolving landscape of social platforms and creative trends.
  • Develop organic and paid strategies that support brand initiatives, generate leads, increase program enrollments, and tell our brand story.
  • Work collaboratively with the paid media team to develop successful advertising campaigns and A/B testing strategies.
  • Customize messaging based on channel, tactic, and target audience utilizing research when available.
  • Work with in-house graphics teams and external agencies to develop unique and engaging content.
  • Utilize social listening platforms and monthly reporting to guide creative strategy and brand messaging.
  • Support the development and execution of digital advertising campaigns by working cross-functionally with SMEs, web, email, studio, and agency teams.
  • Project manage digital campaigns from concept to execution and optimization.
  • Support social media community management and crisis communications working occasional nights and weekends as needed.


Requirements

  • 3+ years copywriting experience at advertising agencies and/or in-house creative departments
  • 2+ years of digital marketing/social media management experience
  • Samples or portfolio required for consideration
  • B2C experience required, B2B a plus
  • Highly creative; excellent writing skills
  • Strong editing/proofreading skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once, strong sense of urgency and responsibility
  • Experience working in social media management solutions – Sprinklr preferred
     

Job Overview

This job is responsible for assisting with projects from the earliest stages of concept and development through to successful completion on time, on budget and as measured by achievement of metrics. Employees in this role are expected to work with a high degree of initiative and independence in anticipating client needs, developing communication solutions that further the business objectives, and ensuring their successful implementation. This position serves as a key contributor on the team in a broad range of communications activities as assigned.
