Position Specific Description
This position supports the Rates & Load Forecasting Systems team responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated data pipelines and analytical infrastructure used by the Rates & Load Forecasting teams. The Data Engineer builds and optimizes data flows from multiple enterprise and external sources to ensure clean, reliable, and timely access to data for regulatory filings, rate design, and forecasting models. The role requires strong technical expertise in SQL, Python, and ETL design, along with a working understanding of business processes supporting regulatory and financial analysis. Job Overview
This position implements and maintains on-premises and cloud-based company and product data infrastructure, including relational databases, non-relational databases and any other data stores required by the company or its products. Employees in this role are responsible for creating processes and implementing software to facilitate management of data including, but not limited to, data pipelines, data catalogs and overall data quality.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Manages data acquisition and ingestion
- Manages and optimizes data access
- Designs, plans, implements and supports data infrastructure using both relational and non-relational data management solutions
- Tests, validates and maintains data quality across all parts of data infrastructure
- Maintains and manages data pipelines and data catalogs
- Responds to data extraction requests
- May perform database administration-related activities
- Monitors health of data infrastructure
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned

- Bachelor's Degree
