Position Specific Description

This position will support NextEra Investments’ Operations team by serving as a key business process liaison for designing and implementing dashboards and other toolsets. This position will partner with Data Owners, External Portfolio Companies and Internal Stakeholders at all levels of the organization to develop data driven solutions that provide analytics, visualizations, and business insights to drive results and proactively identify and resolve problems. 

 

Special Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 

  • 2+ years’ experience designing and delivering reporting, data visualization and analytics solutions
  • Excellent knowledge of standard concepts, best practices, and procedures within a data warehousing/data lake/EDP, real-time data feeds, and production management/accounting systems 
  • Strong technical expertise with MS SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS is a plus 
  • Strong proficiency with designing, developing, and supporting Microsoft Power BI reports, and dashboards 
  • Understanding of data flows between IT systems supporting various business processes and proficiency of BI reporting and visualization tools 
  • Experience working in an Agile/SCRUM and SDLC environment 
  • Define and adhere to data standards, implement quality control, curation, and conditioning of data, develop data pipelines for integrations between core systems 
  • Experience utilizing APIs following industry best practices 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develops strong familiarity with business processes that are in their area of business focus
  • Collaborate with our end users, internal stakeholders, and external partners to develop and deliver high value innovative concepts and solutions
  • Work with solution partners and identify opportunities to collaborate
  • Identify opportunities to enhance our processes and technology, to improve results and translate business needs to technical specifications 
  • Design, delivery and administration of reporting and analytics solutions
  • Perform triage, analysis, and corrections or recommendations for reported data issues or analytics requests of advanced complexity, prioritizing to ensure timely results delivery 
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint
  • Support existing self-service reports (ie Salesforce, Excel, PowerBI) and complete ad-hoc report requests as needed
  • Applies analytical skills within functional area to decompose work into manageable value-based units
  • Contributes to the application testing process directly and in support of end users
  • Creates and updates documentation, as appropriate for selected project framework
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned to support and improve the overall team operations

Job Overview

This position assesses, designs, develops, integrates and troubleshoots technology to support business processes. Employees provide technical or functional guidance to project or work teams, as needed within specific or multiple disciplines. This position is accountable for ensuring the reliability, performance, security, and continuity of IT systems, as well as ensuring that excellent technical support services are provided.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

•  Analyzes, designs, develops, tests, debugs, implements, maintains, integrates, customizes, and enhances existing or new systems

•  Applies appropriate Agile or development methodologies, system development lifecycles, tools, and technology

•  Automates the handoff of code releases from development to operations (DevOps)

•  Participates in the change management and  service ticket management processes including receiving, resolution monitoring, and ensuring customer satisfaction

•  Leads projects when needed and builds strong working understanding of the solution being delivered

•  Ensures user satisfaction by providing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and timely resolution of more complex problems

•  Designs, develops, and  tests experimental application work to test new ideas with bounded cost and time frames

•  Ensures that applications processes are conducted in line with corporate social responsibility, security, compliance, environmental, and technical policies and applicable standards and legislation

•  Acts as liaison with regulatory agencies, vendors, and contractors on matters relating to computer systems as required

•  Defines metrics and monitors Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for systems being developed

•  Performs other job-related duties as assigned

•  High School Grad / GED

•  Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience

•  Experience: 2+ years
