Position Specific Description

Join the NextEra Energy Investments (NEI) team, where you'll play a hands-on role in tracking and analyzing a dynamic portfolio of companies. This isn't just a reporting role — you'll be digging into real investment performance, building meaningful relationships with portfolio company management, and helping shape the story we tell to leadership.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Track investment performance and prepare financial reports that give our team a clear picture of how our portfolio companies are performing
  • Build and maintain financial models and valuation analyses for current investments
  • Partner with portfolio company management to gather data and understand what's driving business results
  • Own monthly investment summaries and quarterly portfolio updates for management review
  • Keep our investment databases accurate and up to date — the details matter hereSupport budgeting and forecasting for the NEI team
  • Put together presentation materials and financial exhibits that translate complex data into clear narratives for leadership
  • Jump in on ad hoc analysis as new questions and opportunities arise

Job Overview

This position works with internal and external groups to perform due diligence and asset valuations of various corporate financing projects. This position works as a Subject Matter Expert in the planning and coordination of work assignments to identify and analyze the impact of relevant financing projects.
 

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Works with internal and external groups to analyze various financial projects such as mergers and acquisitions                  
  • Builds, enhances and maintains complex financial models                   
  • Proposes strategies to maximize the financial performance of the company                   
  • Supports project and corporate capitalization processes with due diligence, identification of key risks and mitigants, and cash flow analyses                   
  • Makes recommendations on financing decisions and executes long and/or short term financings        
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience            
  • Experience: 2+ years
     

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's - Accounting / Finance
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)            
  • Chartered Financial Analyst  (CFA)
