Position Specific Description

This person in this position will be the subject matter expert on ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) frameworks, standards, assessments, ratings and rankings for existing and prospective commercial & industrial customers.  Employees in this role work closely with front-line originators and customers to understand their needs and advise them on their ESG position and opportunities to improve their standing with various stakeholders.


  • Develop strong relationships within various NEE BUs to understand their products offerings and be the focal point of coordination to bring products from one NEE BU to customers of the another NEE BU
  • Develop an understanding of ESG driven decision making primarily from a customer’s standpoint
  • Screen business targets using available customer information and through other proprietary ESG data
  • Identify high value contacts at those potential business targets, interface with customers to understand needs and own integrated sales proposals to them
  • Develop strong relationship with target contacts via frequent in person interactions which will require significant travel
  • Work to understand needs of the potential business targets and develop integrated clean energy solutions to meet those needs
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Job Duties & Responsibilities


  • Establish and maintain working relationships with internal and external contacts in support of the development of clean energy market data in the Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) related investment trends          
  • Partner with the sales team, bringing industry and product expertise to customer meetings          
  • Formulate inputs to data modeling tools and assists in modeling efforts          
  • Maintain models and proprietary tools with up-to-date market intelligence          
  • Perform market simulations and develop long-term forecasts in support of development, Merger and Acquisitions, and management of existing assets          
  • Develop proprietary modeling tools and methodologies to analyze evolving markets and the impact on company businesses          
  • Analyze market, historical, and fundamental data to draw inferences and present results in a clear and understandable format to management and external customers          
  • Present forecast results to management as needed          
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience: 7+ years
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree
  • Experience: 10+ years
