Position Specific Description
This position is in NextEra Energy’s Power Generation Division (PGD) and reports to the Senior Director of PGD Strategy. As the Change Management Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing change management strategies and tactics to maximize employee adoption of transformational initiatives. You will perform stakeholder impact assessments, develop and execute targeted change management and communication plans, deliver training programs, and enable PGD leaders to drive and sustain organizational change. This role will collaborate closely with teams across power generation, human resources, corporate communications, technology, and other areas to assess the level of change and ensure full alignment on initiatives. Additionally, this role will lead PGD’s change agent network, which includes leaders and technicians across power generation’s renewables fleet.
We are seeking a candidate with substantial experience managing and leading large-scale organizational change. The ideal candidate must be able to connect quickly with and understand the dynamics of operational teams that are geographically dispersed, as well as technology-based teams within PGD and IT. The qualified candidate should also be open to occasional travel to build relationships with team members in the field.
Desired Qualifications:
- Prosci change practitioner certification [or willingness to obtain upon hire].
- Prosci train-the-trainer qualification
Job Overview
Leaders in this role are accountable for driving change management strategy for business unit projects and programs. This position is responsible for policy-setting and coordination of change management activities in the areas of communications, training, stakeholder management, change readiness and impacts. Individuals coordinate with business unit executives to mobilize and engage change agents to address changes across projects and programs and drive consistency and continuity.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Tracks and manages change and communication activities across all programs and projects
- Estimates resource planning required to conduct change management activities across projects
- Coaches and prepares leaders to lead the change and to facilitate alignment of project objectives
- Develops and executes action plans to prepare stakeholders for change
- Develops and implements targeted change management tactics to engage leadership at all levels
- Clarifies and shares the business unit change management initiative vision and strategy
- Enhances organizational culture by establishing change communication strategies
- Interacts with leaders in helping them fulfill their roles to support the ongoing changes
- Designs, leads and influences large-scale change and integrates work across multiple delivery channels
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience: 8+ years
- Supervisor/Management Experience: 2+ years
