Position Specific Description

Join our dynamic and immersive FPL Business Rotation Program (BRP) designed to cultivate future leaders, develop strong experience and provide a comprehensive understanding of our organization and the energy industry. This program offers talented individuals the unique opportunity to gain exposure across various departments and functions, accelerating your professional growth and development.   • Prior internship experience in business or related field is a plus.
  • MBA with undergraduate degree in business, management, economics, or a related field.

Job Overview

Employees in this role rotate through various FPL business units and departments with the intent of filling a permanent position within 18 to 24 months’ timeframe. This position will learn the various aspects of Florida Power & Light Company's business functions, which consist of financial, regulatory, technical and customer facing businesses. Individuals may be required to travel throughout the service territory, which may require both field and office-type work environments. In this role, the individuals are focused on developing skills to enhance our business platforms and build long lasting skills and relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Participate in all assigned activities for the purpose of learning about the specific function(s) 
  • Gain understanding of business unit interactions, both internally and externally 
  • Make impactful contributions that benefit both the business and the participant
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders across various departments
  • Contribute to initiatives that improve existing business processes and systems
  • Apply learnings from rotation experiences to identify improvement opportunities
  • Support strategic projects that enhance operational efficiency
  • Demonstrate adaptability and learning agility across different work environments
  • Build foundational knowledge in utility operations, regulations, and customer service
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
