Position Specific Description

Accounts Payable Business Analyst II



  • Responsible for supporting all Accounts Payable critical processes with focus on Invoice & Payment processing automation,  1099 Reporting, AP Service administration and reporting.
  • Incumbent should have strong systems & accounting background as well as the ability to communicate with both vendors and internal customers appropriately.
  • Able to identify, document and roll out process improvement initiatives.


General Areas of responsibilities:

  1. Continually improve KPI metrics reporting for the Financial Operations teams
    1. Identify and work on adding new Key Performance Indicators to Fin Ops KPI Dashboard
    2. Validate Dashboard performance regularly to ensure accuracy of data being reported
  2. Handle and appropriately respond to urgent and high visibility requests
    1. Ensure critical requests in support of acquisitions, Storm, Rate Case requests and others are handled timely and accurately
    2. Ensure all appropriate parties are included in communications concerning these items
    3. Update process documentation as necessary for improved efficiency
  3. 1099 Process - Yearly
    1. Maintain the 1099 system.
    2. Coordinate and improve the 1099 Annual process
    3. Resolve vendor issues
    4. Liaison with Corporate Tax, IT and the business
  4. Assist is supporting the management of the Offshore work team
    1. Develop mechanism for validating KPI and SLA metrics
    2. Identify additional functions that can be moved to the Offshore team
  5. Manage Invoice & Payment Processing Improvement projects
    1. Review project plans
    2. Assist with Project planning (Agile)
    3. Communicate project status to management
  6. Support testing and troubleshooting of system enhancements and upgrades
  7. Maintaining Process documentation as related to process enhancements

Required Qualifications

  • High School Grad / GED
  • Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
  • Experience: 2+ years

  • Bachelor's Degree
