Position Specific Description

Specific responsibilities of this attorney position include the following:

  • Manage litigation holds from beginning to end of the life cycle of a matter, which includes drafting the hold letters and instructions, coordinating with Information Technology to gather and preserve relevant documents, and communicating with attorneys and employees regarding various stages of the litigation hold
  • Provide support with electronic discovery for litigation cases
  • Research and stay abreast of all legal developments impacting the litigation hold process and electronic discovery
  • Assist the Registered Agent by managing service of process for all legal process that comes to the multiple corporate entities.  This includes tracking subpoenas and summonses and working on responses to subpoenas
  • Running and preparing regular reports for litigations holds and service of process
  • Member of the Florida Bar
  • Strong computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Teams, Excel, WorkShare Compare and SharePoint
  • Experience with EnCase Litigation Hold Software
  • Knowledge of legal terminology and governance helpful
  • Experience working with and familiarity with litigation hold process
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize effectively, work under pressure, handle multiple tasks and meet numerous competing and urgent deadlines
  • Ability to follow established workflows and guidelines, understand office procedures and practices
  • Requires clear and concise writing, proof reading and editing for spelling and grammar
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Ability to communicate tactfully with internal management and staff at all levels
  • Available to work outside business hours
  • Familiarities with electronic discovery 

Job Overview

Employees in this job perform a variety of routine legal assignments and projects of varying (basic to moderate) complexity and deliver timely and quality legal services to clients with close supervision.

Job Duties & Responsibilities


•   Conducts legal research, drafts legal documents and assists more experienced attorneys in transactions
•   Provides legal advice to business units, and prepares resolutions and forms
•   Works to ensure budget compliance and avoids the need for outside counsel
•   Ensures disclosure of potentially material legal issues to senior leadership
•   Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications


•  Member in Good Standing of a State Bar
•  High School Grad / GED
•  Juris Doctorate
•  Bachelor's Degree
•  Experience:1+ years
