Position Specific Description

One of Information Technology’s core pillars is keeping people first. Join the IT employee experience team responsible for fostering our safety culture, growing early career talent pipelines, enhancing engagement, expanding training and development opportunities, and overseeing workspace planning and facilities.

 

 

The IT employee experience team is looking to hire an IT Business Systems Analyst to support efforts in workspace planning and facilities along with employee development and training. This role will support the analysis of business processes, assist in workspace planning initiatives, and contribute to data-driven decision-making efforts. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of business analysis, strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, an interest in optimizing workspace efficiency, and assist with the design and implementation of comprehensive training program.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Collection & Analysis: Assist in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data relevant to business processes and workspace utilization to identify trends and insights.
  • Workspace Planning: Support workspace planning initiatives by analyzing office layout efficiency, occupancy levels, and future workspace needs. Assist in recommending solutions to optimize space utilization.
  • Process Improvement: Evaluate existing business processes, identify areas for improvement, and help implement process enhancements.
  • Report Generation: Help develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and metrics to monitor business performance and workspace efficiency.
  • · Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including facilities management, HR, IT, and finance, to gather requirements and deliver actionable insights.
  • · Project Support: Assist in managing and coordinating projects related to business processes and workspace planning, ensuring tasks are completed on time and meet objectives.
  • · Documentation: Prepare clear and comprehensive documentation of business processes, workflows, workspace plans, and requirements.
  • · Market Research: Conduct basic market research to stay informed about industry trends, particularly in workspace optimization, training effectiveness, and business analysis best practices.
  • · Training & Support: Support the design, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive training program including analytical tools, reports, and dashboards as needed.

 

Desired certifications/skills:

  • · Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a business analysis role. Experience in workspace planning or facilities management is a plus.
  • · Technical Skills: Proficiency in M365 Suite (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint). Familiarity with data analysis and utilization of tools (e.g., Power BI).
  • · Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • · Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • · Team-Oriented: Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
  • · Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • · Adaptability: Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges and changing business needs.

Job Overview

Employees in this role conduct basic operational analyses that support informed decision making within the business unit. Key responsibilities include small to medium special projects, quantitative and qualitative research, process design and modification, and report development. Individuals in this role apply standardized tools and techniques.
