Position Specific Description

ur Engineering & Construction Business Unit is looking for an Associate Project Management Consultant to join their team in Juno Beach, FL.  This position assists in project management of engineering and construction for nationwide solar energy projects. This entry level position has frequent interaction with executive management and provides a long runway for upward growth.  


Below is a basic outline of duties specific to this position:

•    Prepare and upload legal and technical documents for contractor Request for Proposals.
•    Issue recommendations for major purchases and obtain management approvals.
•    Set up and lead meetings, distributing minutes and action items afterwards.
•    Participate in management meetings, speaking to project challenges and opportunities in detail.
•    Monitor critical activities of project schedules, flagging areas of concern to management.
•    Coordinate project deliverables with Development, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Environmental teams, as wells as suppliers and other external stakeholders.
•    Perform cost estimates and financial analysis using basic Excel formulas.
•    Travel to projects to assess key site characteristics, then document key findings and present to management.


Candidates must have strong organizational skills and a prompt communication style.  Strong business acumen is required to be successful in this role.  A background in civil or electrical engineering is a plus, but not necessary.  This position is based in-office five days per week but may offer some work-from-home flexibility once the candidate has demonstrated good performance in the role.

Job Overview

This position assists in the overall management of assigned projects, to ensure compliance within required budgetary, scheduling, and safety goals. Employees in this role support construction work performed by contractors and/or vendors at the project site.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

•   Assesses productivity, schedule compliance, work quality, and safety performance on assigned projects
•   Participates in walk downs of planned work, validates acceptance of completed work to design requirements, and reviews contractor payment requests
•   Verifies constructability, ensures proper resource allocation, assesses field status, and resolves issues as needed
•   Coordinates project activities with vendors, suppliers, regulatory agencies, local community officials and the company
•   Assists in scope control, budget oversight, resolution of technical issues, performance reporting, scheduling, and work-in-progress
•   Interfaces with landowners, local regulators and state agencies
•   Reinforces expectations related to safety, procedure compliance, lessons learned, corrective action and appropriate work behaviors for employees and contractor staff
•   Coordinates activities or groups such as safety programs, engineering, construction, budget, analysis and contract administration
•   Interfaces with project’s designated management committee
•   Performs other job-related duties as assigned
