Position Specific Description

We are looking for a motivated, creative, Martech expert to help deliver engaging experiences through email. This role will support FPL Energy Services’ email marketing campaigns and is responsible for developing and executing the technological solutions that enable digital marketing teams to strategically target, nurture, monitor and convert marketing leads. The goal is to drive long-term growth for FPLES through innovative, impactful, and scalable marketing campaigns and automated email experiences. This position will develop new or enhance existing Adobe Campaign automation experiences into the technical infrastructure and existing business processes and will provide technical or functional guidance to project or work teams, as needed. The ideal candidate will have hands-on, proven experience working with industry tools, including email, CRM, and marketing automation platforms (Adobe Campaign Classic is highly preferred). They will have knowledge of how cross-platform integrations impact data flows and campaign enablement. They will be expected to: 

  • Lead all aspects of scheduling and deploying email programs and creating automated email experiences using Adobe Campaign and other Adobe tools
  • Work with marketing team to understand key campaign parameters and inputs, such as target audience, program goals, personalization, and creative approach to ensure communications are optimized to hit the right people, with the right message, at the right time
  • Identify and implement marketing testing methodologies (e.g. A/B and multivariate testing) to optimize conversion rates (content, email templates, list segmentation, call-to-actions, etc.) and influence strategic decisions
  • Conduct solutions testing and validation
  • Mitigate technical debt by providing applicable documentation processes (run books, code samples, screenshots, etc.)
  • Work with IT to develop specialties in data management, scripting languages, API, and/or integrations
  • Assess campaign performance, ensuring there are no data issues impacting results
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to HTML templates, list segmentation and other aspects of email execution, as needed
     

Preffered Qualifications: 

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Computer Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Communications, or related field; or equivalent experience with demonstrated proficiency.
  • Hands-on technical marketing experience developing outbound campaigns that incorporate email targeting, leading generation web forms, and automated programs using an automated email marketing platform (Adobe Campaign Classic, is preferred)
  • Project management experience, preferably Agile 
  • Experience with the retrieval and uploading of data files to/from multiple systems and environments
  • Experience in building stored procedures, reports, and data extracts
  • Proficient in at least two of the following languages: HTML & CSS, Python, JavaScript JSON (REST)/XML (SOAP) – API calls 
  • SQL and data normalization
  • Communication skills are a must

Job Duties & Responsibilities

•  Analyzes, designs, develops, tests, debugs, implements, maintains, integrates, customizes and enhances existing or new systems

•  Applies appropriate Agile or development methodologies, system development lifecycles, tools, and technology

•  Automates the handoff of code releases from development to operations (DevOps)

•  Participates in the change management and  service ticket management processes, including receiving, resolution monitoring and ensuring customer satisfaction

•  Leads projects when needed and builds strong working understanding of the solution being delivered

•  Ensures user satisfaction by providing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and timely resolution of more complex problems

•  Designs, develops and  tests experimental application work to test new ideas with bounded cost and time frames

•  Ensures that applications processes are conducted in line with corporate social responsibility, security, compliance, environmental, and technical policies and applicable standards and legislation

•  Acts as liaison with regulatory agencies, vendors, and contractors on matters relating to computer systems as required

•  Defines metrics and monitors Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for systems being developed

•  Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

•  High School Grad / GED

•  Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience

•  Experience: 5+ years
