Position Specific Description

This Administrative Technician position will provide administrative support for the NextEra Energy Investments business unit at NextEra Energy located at the corporate office in Juno Beach, FL. We will also consider candidates reporting to our Washington DC (Tyson’s Corner) office.   


We are seeking a dynamic, results-oriented professional to join our team and help us continue to build a new, exciting business. Employees in this job perform diversified and confidential administrative duties by applying broad and comprehensive experience, skills, and knowledge of organizational policies and practices. This position will report directly to a Partner in the NEI business unit and will work collaboratively with the entire investments team, focusing on administrative and organizational duties, including coordinating complex logistics, managing internal and external communications with senior executives, and leading the expanding office practice.  


The ideal candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and have experience managing complex, detail-oriented assignments with a high degree of independence. Sound professional judgement, high ethical standards, discretion and organizational skills with the willingness and flexibility to take ownership of assignments large and small are crucial requirements of the job. This position requires some independent judgment of organizational standards. 


To be successful in this role, you must have the ability to:
•    Work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with minimal supervision and direction
•    Manage highly confidential communication with senior executives within the Company and externally
•    Receive and respond to routine correspondence following established procedures
•    Manage complex team logistics for various business unit activities, including conferences, corporate events, business unit executive and board-level meetings, and travel itineraries, as required
•    Coordinate monthly strategic meetings and events, align catering, and assist with other team meetings as needed
•    Book and coordinate new meetings with external stakeholders
•    Take independent action on business unit’s office operations and logistical needs; determine the appropriate course of action, intervene where necessary, and act as a liaison among departments
•    Draft, edit and manage concise business communication with a high degree of accuracy, speed and professionalism
•    Manage daily administrative duties, including processing expense reports in Chrome River, processing invoices, and managing the outlook calendars and emails for the Partner(s)
•    Provide backup support to other executive assistants
•    Work closely with Executives and other Executive Assistants to handle complex issues requiring high levels of confidentiality and diplomacy
•    Manage other organizational assignments as deemed by management

  • Contacts other departments and/or outside agencies to resolve problems
  • Audits and processes invoices in accordance with accounts payable procedures
  • Interacts with all levels of employees as needed to perform responsibilities
  • Works on special projects as requested
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
