Position Specific Description

The Property Accounting team at FCOE is looking for Accountant II to join their team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and take ownership of various projects by adding value through critical thinking and inter-personal skills.
 
The ideal candidate will be able to:

  • This role requires an understanding of GAAP and FERC as well as strong verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail
  • Work closely with NEET Development, Engineering & Construction, Operations, Business Management and Business services teams to ensure proper accounting treatment and compliance with policies
  • Review master data accuracy for recording new assets such as WBS structure, company codes, asset estimates in line with federal and local regulation and company’s capital policies
  • Ability to quickly establish priorities and meet all assigned deadlines related to the FCOE accounting close d everyday tasks
  • Prepare and present timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, annual and ad-hoc reports
  • Improve, develop, and implement new processes to manage the rapidly growing business

Job Duties & Responsibilities


•   Assists in preparing financial reports in a timely manner that are in compliance with GAAP and accurately reflect the financial status of the company
•   Keeps abreast of and apply GAAP, SEC regulations, and relative company policies, practices and procedures
•   Ensures accounting integrity of corporate financial data through the implementation of appropriate internal controls
•   Prepares schedules and journal entries
•   Performs other job-related duties as assigned

•  Bachelor's - Accounting / Finance / Business
•  Experience: 1+ years
