Position Specific Description
NextEra Energy Resources is one of the largest producers of emission-free nuclear energy in the United States, committed to a zero-emissions energy future. Join our industry-leading Nuclear Fleet and become a trailblazer in the energy sector. Position Description: We offer a year-round internship in the Site Operations Department at Plant St. Lucie. Interns will gain real-world experience in the design, operation, and maintenance of nuclear power systems and equipment. This includes involvement in equipment installation, selection, and operations, as well as preparation for licensing candidacy. Strong presentation skills are required. Responsibilities: -Assist with department projects -Actively enrolled full-time in a Bachelor’s or higher degree program in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, or Nuclear Engineering, or a similar Maritime Degree -None Additional Information: Interns must assume responsibility for their own travel, lodging, and transportation. *Hybrid role, onsite requirements during college breaks including 2 weeks in December and 3 months in the summer. -Complete challenging projects and assignments
-Participate in field walk downs and equipment selection
-Perform assessments and validate results
-Develop and maintain project schedules, reporting progress periodically
-Present final projects to senior leadership

Qualifications:
-High school diploma or GED
-Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (on a 0.00 to 4.00 scale)
