Position Specific Description

GridLiance, a Nextera Energy company, is looking for a Director Strategic Engagement.  The job will guide and support the strategic direction of GridLiance origination and development efforts. Specifically this entails evaluating and following trends in the public power and municipal energy sectors. The position will be responsible for proposing to GridLiance management, in coordination with the rest of the GridLiance team, commercial structures that provide value to the customer while meeting GridLiance’s economic objectives.

Job Overview

This job is responsible for identifying and leading strategic and performance initiatives for the company's business. Leaders in this role have responsibility for monitoring and modeling industry and company trends with the objective of identifying areas of profitability in the business that the business can pursue that are non-traditional in nature.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Leads the development of customer and market segmentation models
  • Formulates assumptions, structure analyses and test hypotheses using available data and sound business judgment
  • Identifies key strategic issues and non-commodity trends across all business segments in the electricity industry
  • Facilitates leadership and executive performance review meetings to drive actionable outcomes to hold the organization accountable to their growth objectives
  • Provides recommendations on sales strategies, channel deployment and margin optimization across all segments
  • Studies and understands industry and non-industry competitors in our space and monitor their actions and strategy
  • Optimizes resource allocation across the company to accomplish the implementation of the strategic projects
  • Evaluates and fosters relationships with vendors, partners and strategic investors
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience: 8+ years

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s - Business Administration
