Position Specific Description

This position is part of the Trinity Operating Upstream Operations group of the Gas Infrastructure team.  NextEra Energy began investing in oil and gas production in 2008, and today has more than $1 billion deployed in several shales around the country.  NextEra Energy is the largest utility consumer in the United States of natural gas to generate electricity; in 2014, we used 736 Bcf of natural gas. The economics of natural gas are critical to nearly every one of the company’s businesses, and we have expanded our ownership and operations to include oil and natural gas liquids rich basins.

In addition to the job duties listed below this individual will need to conduct frequent field/site visits and be the primary contact for Field Consultants to resolve well issues as relates to completions operations. They will also need to track/promote Trinity’s completions efficiency profile to ensure it follows (or exceeds) that of the industry and actively promote HSE 

 

Woodford Shale experience is preferred but not required

Job Overview

Employees in this role are accountable to deliver OK completion wells starting from initial frac through CT drill out, tubing installation, and first sales. This includes planning, costing, scheduling, and execution. This position is accountable for delivering wells within budget, on time, and in the safest possible manner.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Acts as Project Manager for completion well planning, costing, scheduling, execution, and final well review of all OK wells
  • Assists in developing the annual Completion and Well Completions Capital budget
  • Develops detailed completion well plan
  • Prepares and provides all well information in order to obtain regulatory permits
  • Performs tender and selection process for all completion and completions services
  • Analyzes offset and competitor data and trends in order to improve completion and completion performance
  • Performs engineering studies as required to improve completion and completion performance
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's – Engineering
  • Experience: 5+ years
  • Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)
