Position Specific Description

The Senior SEO Lead will develop and scale our organic search strategy to drive measurable growth. Your work will directly impact organic search visibility across traditional and AI based search engine platforms. This position will manage external agencies and collaborate with internal teams to develop robust strategies for content, technical SEO and results reporting. 

 

In this hands-on role, the Senior SEO Lead will: 

  • Own, develop and manage our internal and external agency organic search strategy and tactics 

  • Manage, measure and evaluate organic search agency performance 

  • Develop strategy to maximize brand and non-brand visibility, page rank and conversions with traditional organic search and future AI overview results 

  • Own content strategy, partnering with external agencies to produce engaging, organic search content for digital properties 

  • Track, measure and report on the impact of organic search strategies on page ranking, leads, and new customer acquisition 

  • Identify and drive technical enhancements that improve page rank performance  

  • Proactively identify and address on-page organic search opportunities including technical SEO 

  • Own website maintenance and management 

 

This individual must have strong, practical working experience managing organic search. The ideal candidate will have agency experience, as well as in-house marketing experience managing outside agencies. This position reports to the Director of Marketing and has direct oversight of digital agency partners to drive business performance. 

  

  • 5+ years specific SEO experience, including technical 

  • Experience conducting competitive research, technical audits, and content gap analyses 

  • Deep knowledge of SEO tools like Screaming Frog, SEMRush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console 

  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript 

  • Deep experience identifying, managing to, and reporting on Insights from SEO KPIs 

  • Must have demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills. 

  • Must have demonstrated experience driving organic search leads and sales growth for a recurring service model category and/or eCommerce  

  • Ability to analyze external data sources and internal Google analytics reporting to drive performance improvement 

  • Experience working with creative services to produce compelling and results-driven content 

  • Strong attention to detail 

  • Must be comfortable with ambiguity  

  • Must be a self-starter 

  • Must be comfortable leading strategy and then rolling up your sleeves to activate programs 

  • Experience with developing and managing to a budget 

  • Agency experience & agency management experience both preferred 

  • Google Analytics Certification a plus 

Job Overview

Employees in this role develop engaging content and visuals to be executed across a variety of social media channels. This role is responsible for community management and social listening to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for engagement. This individual will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify and execute on social media content opportunities.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Community manage inbound mentions and messages identifying engagement opportunities and escalating key mentions 
  • Work with internal partners and SMEs to develop and publish content to social channels 
  • Utilize social listening tools to identify common themes, emerging issues, trending misinformation, and company mentions 
  • Draft and produce social content as needed 
  • Pull monthly and quarterly reporting and safety reports 
  • Attend cross-functional meetings to identify social media content opportunities 
  • Contribute to monthly editorial content calendars 
  • Develop compelling social media visuals 
  • Provide social media support at events 
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High School Grad / GED
  • Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
  • Experience: 6+ years
