Position Specific Description

Come join our team!  We are seeking to add a Revenue Accountant for one of the fastest growing Oil & Gas companies. The ideal candidate will have 2 plus years of onshore revenue accounting experience combined with a degree in Accounting/Finance and excellent Excel skills.  We strengthen and engage our greatest asset – our people!   We look forward to working together and making an impact!

 

  • Book non-operated revenue operated revenue as assigned
  • Ensure entries are booked accurately and timely
  • Make monthly SAP journal entries and Excalibur entries
  • Prepare and analyze monthly assigned Revenue Reconciliations
  • Prepare and analyze quarterly Excalibur to SAP Reconciliations
  • Make cash entries or reclasses as needed
  • Special projects or tasks as needed
  • Assist in completing any needed reverse/rebooks
  • Establish relationships with other departments within the organization to ensure we have the information needed for your position and assist other departments with needed information
  • Assist in analyzing accrual to actual variances and follow up as needed on any issues
  • Assist in following up with non-operated partners about any missing revenues and also following up with the Division order group regarding non-op or take in kind revenues

Job Duties & Responsibilities


•   Prepares financial reports in a timely manner that are in compliance with GAAP and accurately reflect the financial status of the company
•   Assures accounting integrity of corporate financial data through the implementation of appropriate internal controls
•   Independently prepares schedules and journal entries
•   Keeps abreast of and applies GAAP, SEC regulations, and relative company policies, practices and procedures
•   Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

•  Bachelor's - Accounting / Finance / Business
•  Experience: 2+ years

Preferred Qualifications


•  Master's - Business Administration
•  Master's - Accounting / Finance
