Position Specific Description

This job is responsible for leading a group of reservoir engineers to continuously add value to the company's oil and gas assets. Employees in this role continually improve regional subsurface knowledge to propose new wells, optimize asset development, direct land acquisition, and add economic drilling inventory. This position supports acquisition and divestment activity to optimize capital deployment.

 

Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Oversees rigorous technical analysis to deliver an accurate forecast of current and future well production
• Provides recommendations to address well performance and financial risks and improve decision quality
• Identifies, plans and delivers drilling locations that meet economic hurdles
• Recommends areas for acquisition to support long term growth
• Conducts economic evaluations to support AFE's (authorization for expenditure) and acquisition opportunities
• Liaises with regulatory authorities to ensure compliance on all subsurface related activity
• Calculates and classifies reserves and resources
• Maintains audited and compliant documentation
• Integrates and collaborates with other business functions (operations, drilling and completions, accounting, finance, business development)
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned

 

Preferred Qualifications
• Supervisor/Management Experience: 2+ years
• Experience with ComboCurve
