Position Specific Description
At NextEra Energy, we are taking our Principal Regulatory Affairs role to the next level. These talented employees are the drivers of regulatory for the consumer market. In this role you will review and analyze direct and digital marketing campaigns in the mass market space, with strong working knowledge of applicate regulatory rules for customer enrollments, marketing, and other related customer protection rules in competitive electric and gas markets. Advise and counsel on new consumer products and product structures and compliance with changing regulatory rules and varying political environments. Collaborate closely with internal Legal team to integrate legal and regulatory compliance and deal structuring. Advise retail on transactions involving the retail sale of electricity and natural gas. Collaborate with broad based client groups and serve as the day-to-day Regulatory lead for retail electricity and natural gas transactions. Identify and communicate significant risks succinctly to senior management. Stay abreast of changing market rules and informing impacted internal business clients accordingly. Provide Regulatory guidance on a variety of key growth initiatives including M&A efforts. Prepare and file compliance filings with state public utility commissions. Job Overview
Employees in this role participate in all activities relating to government compliance. Individuals maintain the organization's ongoing relationships with regulatory commissions/authorities. This positon is responsible for coordinating regulatory filings and proceedings including but not limited to: planning docket team, developing project timelines, reviewing petition and testimony, managing discovery, summarizing key milestones and attending hearings.

- Monitors state and national regulatory proceedings and provides timely summaries to leadership
- Masters standard concepts, practices, and procedures of the state’s regulatory proceedings
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High School Grad / GED
- Bachelor’s or Equivalent Experience
