Position Specific Description

Come join our marketing team! We are seeking an experienced Paid Search Manager to lead online acquisition sales growth for our residential segment. This position will reside at our Houston, TX office and be responsible for developing and implementing strategies, tactics and campaigns to drive digital sales performance improvements

 

In this hands-on role, the Paid Search manager will:

  • Own, develop and manage our paid search strategies and external paid search agency
  • Manage, measure and evaluate paid search agency performance
  • Collaborate with analytics teams and external resources to drive data and insights improvements
  • Partner with the agency and analytics teams to deliver in-depth reporting, analysis, and insights to key stakeholders, providing an explanation of what is occurring in the paid search space
  • Oversee and drive ongoing optimization efforts to meet sales and cost per acquisition (CPA) targets
  • Collaborate with and advise agency partners on keyword analysis, bid management, negative keyword strategies, ad creative and landing page strategy
  • Have the capability to manage paid search campaigns internally

 

This individual must have strong, practical working experience managing paid search campaigns, including strategy, configuration, and optimization. The ideal candidate will have agency experience, as well as in-house marketing experience managing outside agencies. This position reports to the Director of Marketing and has direct oversight of digital agency partners to drive business performance.

 

  • Must have demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Must have demonstrated experience driving paid search leads and sales growth for a recurring service model category and/or eCommerce
  • Ability to analyze ad platform and web analytics reporting to drive performance improvements
  • Experience working with creative services to produce compelling and results-driven ad copy and landing pages
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must be comfortable with ambiguity    
  • Must be a self-starter
  • Must be comfortable leading strategy and then rolling up your sleeves to activate programs
  • Experience with developing and managing to a budget
  • Agency experience & agency management experience both preferred
  • Google AdWords Certification a plus
  • Google Analytics Certification a plus

Job Overview

Employees in this role are responsible for developing marketing plans, go-to-market strategies, and campaigns for new and existing products, assuring alignment with corporate and business strategy.This position manages always-on performance marketing programs, as well as short-term marketing campaigns to drive acquisition sales growth.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Translates business goals into actionable marketing strategy within a defined budget
  • Defines & develops digital acquisition strategies with a focus on performance marketing channels and tactics  
  • Leverages digital marketing mix to drive online sales growth and overall new customer acquisition
  • Develops marketing and advertising campaigns and programs from strategic concept to completion
  • Develops profile of target customers, compelling positioning, and value proposition for existing and new products and services
  • Translates complex concepts and solutions into key messages
  • Recommends and implements changes to campaigns and web content to remain competitive in the digital marketplace and drive conversion
  • Consults internally on product messaging and develops campaigns to drive results
  • Advocates for the end user experience through data and research driven methods
  • Ensures alignment between Product, Business and Platform priorities in the context of overall strategy and goals
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
