Position Specific Description

We are looking for a C&I Sales Representative to help buildout NextEra’s large retail C&I sales team.  In this role, you will be responsible for identifying new prospects and executing a direct customer sales plan to grow our diverse offering of energy solutions including: grid-level energy products, distributed generation (incl. renewables), behind-the-meter storage, and fleet mobility.  Your sales efforts will be aided by NextEra’s in-house energy optimization software that provides clients with next-gen energy analytics and optimization.   You will see the sales cycle through from start to finish – from sourcing clients, structuring deals with creative solutions, and contracting.  You will then nurture, develop, and grow these client relationships over time.

 

A key part of this role will also include helping Sales Directors manage client deal flow, pricing, and relationships. 

 This position will focus on large C&I clients in any competitive market territory.

 

Ideal candidate will have 3-5 years related large C&I sales experience with expertise in energy pricing, C&I contract structuring, and experience selling or working with many of the energy solutions described above.  Position location is flexible (remote) but must be within a competitive market territory.  Ideally located in Houston, Dallas, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Boston, Chicago or New York City. Travel required.

 

 

Job Overview

The job is responsible for supporting the Origination Team with pre and/or post technical consulting activities, including gaining an understanding of customer needs, identifying new customers, researching and analyzing public information, and applying current business strategies to help the origination Team with strategic decisions. Employees in this role the “back office” support to the “front office” to develop presentation materials for potential customers, work on market intelligence materials to support the origination group, and maintain Origination reporting needs.

Job Duties & Responsibilities


•   Conducts conference calls with potential customers and front line originators to understand their needs
•   Researches public information about potential customers and/or competitors, analyzes data, and formulates a summary and/or recommendation to present to the Origination team
•   Produces origination CRM reports and performs overall CRM maintenance
•   Prepares customer presentation materials
•   Manages origination reporting needs to upper management
•   Assists in the preparation of presentations to support approval of proposed transactions and obtain transaction approvals on a timely basis
•   Coordinates efforts between several different groups within the organization such as Communications, IT, and Investor Relations
•   Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications


•  High School Grad / GED
•  Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
•  Experience:3+ years
