Position Specific Description

  • Prospect new commercial and industrial customers
  • Maintain sales call activity:  50 calls minimum daily
  • Enter logged calls and notation in CRM
  • Achieve individual acquisition sales goals set by Sales Manager
  • Develop pricing opportunities to achieve sales margins and meet goals
  • Sell fixed, index, variable and complex structured energy products to commercial and industrial customers through contracted agreements
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships
  • Ensure contracts are processed in accordance with department guidelines
  • Obtain customer usage and, when applicable, competitor contract details to ensure accurate pricing
  • Gather all necessary from customers to support credit approval process
  • Communicate activities with Sales Manager and provide periodic reports
  • Communicate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve issues related to pricing, contracting, billing and service
  • Manage time and appointments efficiently
  • Utilize lead generation techniques
  • This role requires up to 25% travel

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of natural gas sales experience
  • 2+ years remote work experience

This job is responsible for developing and executing strategic and tactical sales plans to drive profitable revenue growth, and increase market share. Employees in this role must meet annual sales targets.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with marketing, operations, legal, finance, and other key stakeholders to improve customer acquisition, service, and retention
  • Develops Business to Business account management plans
  • Builds and expands customer relationships to maximize long term account growth
  • Develops new business opportunities and creates a strong pipeline
  • Generates and presents natural gas sales proposals by providing market analysis and risk management solutions to clients
  • Ensures proper controls and compliance in accordance with corporate policy and procedures
  • Maintains an accurate and updated opportunity pipeline
  • Provides accurate forecasting information
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High School Grad / GED
  • Bachelor’s or Equivalent Experience
  • Experience: 2+ years
