Position Specific Description

You have the exciting opportunity to join a startup within the world’s largest utility company. NextEra Water aims to become a leading water utility by bringing NextEra’s leadership in sustainable energy to the water sector.

In this position, you will play a key role in the origination and development of water and wastewater acquisitions. We employ a data-driven approach to identify opportunities where we can acquire and improve water and wastewater infrastructure to ensure sustainable, clean, and reliable water for our customers.

Successful candidates will be competitive, highly motivated individuals with the ability to learn quickly. This position will be working in our Houston, TX office.

Position-specific responsibilities include:
•    Identifying and researching potential acquisition targets
•    Establishing initial contact with key decision makers
•    Facilitating acquisition or greenfield development process with internal stakeholders to progress opportunities from origination to execution and integration
•    Ensuring compliance with applicable technical and regulatory requirements
•    Performing other job-related duties as assigned

Job Overview

Employees in this role build relationships with national and key account customers to drive sales. This position is responsible for selling residential products and services directly to end use customers through B2B sales. This position will work closely with the sales team and product managers to strategize business development activities.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Identifies, interviews, screens, and make presentations and to potential B2B sales partners at a national level
  • Builds rapport and establishes trust, leading to long lasting partner relationships
  • Provides action plans with timing to resolve any noncompliance and performs field audits for quality assurance
  • Ensures brand standards compliance with all products, services and processes to promote operational excellence and superior customer experiences
  • Develops, maintains and executes training programs and initiatives for partner network
  • Negotiates and executes contracts between the company and B2B partners
  • Serves as point person for elevated issues in the field and mitigate customer complaints, overseeing escalations and inquiry process between internal and external stakeholders
  • Works across all product lines to ensure sales on behalf of the company through partnerships
  • Performs business evaluations, tracks and facilities progress by gathering and analyzing data, and makes recommendations, building commitment and overcoming objections
  • Monitors and measures overall performance of partnership and ensure partner satisfaction
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience: 4+ years

  • Experience: 7+ years
