We are currently seeking an Associate, New Product Development to join our residential Innovation and New Product Development team which creates new products and services through development of new capabilities, business models, and strategic partnerships, to deliver innovative Energy Management products and services - Home Energy Management, Demand Response, Solar, Battery storage and Electric Vehicle solutions.

 

The ideal candidate will have a passion for developing and delivering Innovative new products and services at the intersection of energy & technology. They will work successfully with cross functional teams to launch and manage new products. They will participate in the new product development process from research, idea generation & business case creation, concept/product design, market research, testing, trials & operational readiness, all the way to successful product commercialization.

 

Position Specific Description

  • Responsibilities include generating new ideas and product concepts, economic analysis, vendor development, and coordination of market launch for new products
  • They will develop point of view on key industry topics via detailed regulatory/market  assessments, competitive landscape evaluation, industry/topical research, and internal/external consumer research
  • They will work with cross functional teams (Legal, Regulatory, Marketing, IT, Customer support, others) on the implementation of new products
  • They will manage key product verticals and support product optimization (product design, marketing and sales tactics/strategy) to achieve sales goals for new products
  • They will achieve product / partner targets for customer satisfaction, complaints, incidents and escalations
  • They will achieve contractual SLA's with partners and have alignment on strategic program evolution
  • The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, creative problem solver, and collaborative team player w/ a proactive approach, comfortable wearing many hats working in a startup environment.

 

Job Overview

Employees in this role conduct complex operational analyses and lead medium to large project teams that support informed decision making within the business unit.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conducts analyses and prepares reports that provide operation and/or technical support to business operations
  • Conducts quantitative and qualitative research to support medium to large special projects
  • Assists with process design and modification for continuous business improvement
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High School Grad / GED
  • Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
  • Experience: 2+ years

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
