Position Specific Description

This position leads a regional team of solar field engineers for the safe and reliable operations and maintenance of multiple solar and storage sites.  Under limited and general guidance leaders in this position manage all aspects of business and operations while maintaining and injury free work force and achieving production and business targets. Leader ensures all business activities are conducted following corporate policies and are in compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal permits, codes, standards, and regulations. 

 

Leaders are expected to:

  • Collaborate with peers, stake holders, central organizations support team, vendors and OEMs for the furtherance of organizations goals
  • Ensures all safety, environmental, performance, and budget targets are met
  • Develop and grow the team/business
  • Oversees and approves procurement activities of the site
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

 

The Regional Manager II/Engineering Leader will possess:

  • Demonstrated strong leadership and management skills
  • Solid technical background and field services experience with strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to successfully handle multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment 
  • Superior organizational, time management and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple complicated tasks and achieve flawless execution
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strome business process management skills
  • Six Sigma skills or equivalent quality skills
  • Ability to travel ~20%

 

This position will be based initially at Horizon Solar in Hawthorne FL and eventfully Magnolia Springs Solar in Green Cove springs, Florida.

This may include negotiating critical and controversial issues with top level engineers and officers of other organizations and companies and having responsibility for one or more programs of such diversity and scope to be of critical importance to overall company objectives.

•   Develops standards and guidelines for diverse technical and engineering activities

Required Qualifications


•  High School Grad / GED
•  Bachelor's - Engineering
•  Experience:7+ years
•  Supervisor/Management Experience:2+ years

Preferred Qualifications


•  Certified Professional Engineer (PE)
•  Six Sigma Black Belt Certified
•  Six Sigma Green Belt Certified
•  Master's Degree
•  Six Sigma Master Black Belt
