Position Specific Description

Florida City Gas is looking for a GIS Analyst to join their team in Doral, FL.

 

Employees in this role will use ESRI ArcPro as well as AutoCAD and other ESRI suite applications to create or modify features in Florida City Gas’ GIS system.  Communications with source providers will be required to ensure accuracy of feature attributes and spatial positioning.  Field intelligence will also be received to make system corrections as needed.  This position will also be responsible for Quality Assurance of posted features to assure accuracy of attributes and spatial locations.  Creation of advanced maps, dashboards, queries as well as data mining and data uploads.  This role will support the Sr GIS Analyst and the associated development projects.
 

Job Overview

Employees in this role provide Geographic Information System (GIS) data analysis, data mining, technical support and database maintenance to meet Florida City Gas internal and external customers’ requirements.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assists with development and maintenance of GIS data resources to be utilized for geographic data of Florida City Gas
  • Assists with the data gathering and compilation, Geographic Information Systems, GPS, mapping, and data analysis
  • Performs varied data gathering and entry to create, maintain, display and update Geographic Information Systems databases, coverages, and linkages to various GIS databases
  • Produces accurate maps and other representations of data for business use and field work activity
  • Performs field visits to visually locate items to resolve conflicting information and ensure the accuracy of data
  • Records and documents details of map updates, additions and/or deletions
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High School Grad / GED
  • Experience: 1+ years

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
  • Experience: 3+ years
