Position Specific Description

The job posting is for a Distribution Planning position.  The role consists of applying engineering concepts, principles and practices to a broad variety of assignments and related fields. Employees in this role will evaluate, select, and apply engineering standards, procedures, and criteria to perform tasks or sequence of tasks for conventional projects. This role supports local distribution operation areas with capacity planning analysis, system expansion projects, placement and teaming of automated feeder switches (AFS), recommendations for storm secure hardening projects, reliability studies, protection and coordination settings as well as motor start and distributed generation evaluation for interconnection studies.

 

•   Works on all aspects in support of Distribution Planning and engineering

•   Acts as a single point of contact for distribution areas in support of mid-level complexity projects for the department
•   Tracks and reports on performance for System expansion, AFS, Hardening, distribution protection and coordination and other
•   Supports company standards, policies, training, and support of organization
•   Prepares annual system expansion budget, communications and presentations, and conducts meetings
•   Supports storm duty requirements
•   Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Job Overview

This position conducts analysis on system performance and reliability strategy and provides recommendations.

•   Tracks and reports on performance
•   Delivers company standards, policies, training, and support of organization
•   Prepares communications and presentations, and conducts meetings
•   Meets attendance and storm duty requirements
•   Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications


•  Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)
•  High School Grad / GED
•  Bachelor's - Engineering
•  Experience:3+ years

Preferred Qualifications


•  Certified Professional Engineer (PE)
•  Six Sigma Black Belt Certified
•  Six Sigma Green Belt Certified
•  Master's Degree
•  Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certified
•  Six Sigma Master Black Belt
