Position Specific Description

The role of the Quality Construction Manager is to identify and develop a standard process and minimum requirements for all Design and Construction quality standards to ensure quality and consistency for Solar and Battery projects for the Distributed Generation Department. This position will be remote with travel to sites.

 

Job Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • Highly organized Solar professional with experience in Quality process development and implementation
  • QC Program Manager will work with Construction and O&M Team to understand historical quality control issues and develop a QA/QC plan for implementation across all projects
  • QC Program Manager will utilize Best Industry Practices for PV and Battery projects to ensure process and build standardization across Distributed Generation portfolio
  • QC Program Manager will work with Construction and Engineering teams to identify and adopt Lessons Learned and address reoccurring issues with design and build quality issues to prevent scoping issues, rework, and set an expectation with Subcontractors and outside engineering firms
  • QC Program Manager will work with Interconnection and Commissioning teams to develop and standardize IX and CX processes and documents
  • QC Program Manager will work with Director of Construction to address all quality related issues, ensure issuance and adherence to the QA/QC plan, and develop a quality mindset for all construction teams to ensure expectations with Subcontractors are clearly defined and met 
    •  Compiles and analyzes highly analytical problem solving analysis
    •  Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Travel: 25-50%

Job Overview

Employees in this job serve as a full-time quality program manager for complex quality improvement initiatives. This job utilizes Six Sigma (including lean) and QI Story tools and techniques to coach and lead teams in key business improvement projects.

Job Duties & Responsibilities


•   Initiates and leads cross functional six sigma quality projects including data collection, analysis and implementation of recommendations through completion
•   Conducts and formalizes process mapping activities as needed
•   Teaches Black Belt and Master Black Belt certification classes and coursework
•   Compiles and analyzes highly analytical problem solving analysis
•   Creates and communicates formal presentation of project work and recommendations to business leaders at higher levels of management, including executive
•   Consults with business units on process improvement and training recommendations
•   Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications


•  High School Grad / GED
•  Bachelor's Degree
•  Experience:5+ years

Preferred Qualifications


•  Six Sigma Master Black Belt
