This position will be located in Cocoa, FL
The RNG Production Technician III role in NextEra Energy’s Power Generation Division involves operating, monitoring, and maintaining equipment at our RNG production facility. Key duties include ensuring a steady supply of spec-grade RNG by managing compressors, pumps, valves, and other process equipment. Responsibilities encompass overseeing plant operations and ensuring proper equipment functioning, assisting with equipment startup, shutdown, and operational procedures, and identifying and resolving operational issues. Adherence to safety and environmental regulations is critical, alongside conducting site inspections and audits, monitoring gauges, dials, and alarms to ensure equipment performance, and interpreting and comprehending P&IDs and SOPs. Additionally, the role requires maintaining a clean and safe work environment, working shifts and overtime as needed, and safely operating a forklift to move materials and products.
Job Overview
The RNG Production Technician III is responsible for the operations portion of plant by monitoring, operating, and maintaining equipment within our RNG production facility. The RNG Production Technician III performs routine inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is in optimal condition, identifying and addressing any issues promptly. Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and guidelines. Maintains accurate records of equipment maintenance, tracking, and production activities. Collaborates with the team to maintain a clean and organized work environment. Adheres to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure work environment. Participates in safety meetings and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skillsets.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee plant operations
- Monitor and troubleshoot operating equipment
- Clear and concise documentation management
- Maintain communication with plant personnel and management
- Observe gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure machine is working properly
- Perform preventative and routine maintenance
- Ensure plant adheres to safety and environmental rules
- Identify process deviations and perform root cause/corrective action
- Use scientific rules and methods to solve problems
- Conduct area inspections and audits
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High School Grad / GED
- Experience: 0+ years
- Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)
