Position Specific Description

The Sr. Structure/Origination Analyst provides analytical support for significant electric power customer accounts across the US. Including but not limited to deal performance, load pricing/forecast analysis and overall energy/retail market fundamentals.The selected candidate will work closely with front-line Originator/Management team to understand customer needs and participate in customer calls/strategic sessions accordingly.

 

Activities include:

  • Provide customer presentation support of overall deal performance, hedge strategy/position, and overall market analysis
  • Research public information on applicable industry/market/commission; summarize accordingly to support customer specific strategic decisions
  • Lead development and implementation of consolidated customer reporting package including coordination of all inputs from internal/external project teams
  • Serve as the liaison between Origination and IT and manage ongoing customer reporting automation efforts

 

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in Marketing or market analysis/research in the Energy sector
  • Experience developing customer presentations is a strong plus
  • Bachelor's in Finance, Engineering, Economics or a similar field. MBA or graduate degree in Business, Economics or a technical field preferred
  • The successful candidate can look forward to a role of increasing responsibility, and progression within the Origination group

Job Overview

The job is responsible for supporting the Origination Team with pre and/or post technical consulting activities, including gaining an understanding of customer needs, identifying new customers, researching and analyzing public information, and applying current business strategies to help the origination Team with strategic decisions. Employees in this role the “back office” support to the “front office” to develop presentation materials for potential customers, work on market intelligence materials to support the origination group, and maintain Origination reporting needs.

Job Duties & Responsibilities


•   Conducts conference calls with potential customers and front line originators to understand their needs
•   Researches public information about potential customers and/or competitors, analyzes data, and formulates a summary and/or recommendation to present to the Origination team
•   Produces origination CRM reports and performs overall CRM maintenance
•   Prepares customer presentation materials
•   Manages origination reporting needs to upper management
•   Assists in the preparation of presentations to support approval of proposed transactions and obtain transaction approvals on a timely basis
•   Coordinates efforts between several different groups within the organization such as Communications, IT, and Investor Relations
•   Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications


•  High School Grad / GED
•  Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
•  Experience: 4+ years
