Position Specific Description

NextEra Energy Resources is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Principal Financial Analyst.  In this role, you will serve as a strategic partner offering insight and analytics that support NextEra Energy Resources and NextEra Energy Partner’s existing businesses and growth opportunities.  You will be responsible for providing comprehensive financial analysis, driving process improvements, and ensuring the financial success of our organization.

• Create a monthly MOPR presentation that outlines financial performance for Senior and Executive Management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather inputs and assumptions for accurate financial forecasting.
• Monitor the accuracy and completeness of financial forecast inputs and outputs, ensuring data integrity.
• Collaborate with Accounting and Finance teams to ensure alignment between actual results and forecasted figures.
• Perform ad hoc financial reporting and analysis as requested by Management, NEE Forecasting, Investor Relations, etc.
• Utilize strong Microsoft Excel skills to manipulate and analyze large data sets, create financial models, and prepare accurate and timely reports.
• Identify process inefficiencies and develop innovative solutions to improve financial processes and reporting procedures.
• Provide recommendations based on financial analysis to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and maximize profitability.
• Maintain financial controls and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines.
